Confriversary Weekend

Confriversary. Like that word I just made up?
Our anniversary has always fallen around Conference weekend and we will always celebrate around conference weekend. I have learned to accept that. But I kinda like it. I love Conference. I love our anniversary. It all works out!

But this year it was a triple-whammy. It was also Easter! It was Confriversayster!

Friday was the day we decided to celebrate our 3 years of marriage. You guys, 3 years sounds so stupid. 3 years seems like nothing!! I have loved this guy for 8 years, and 3 seems so little. But 3 it has been! And 3 we did celebrate!

Thursday night, Sadie decided sleeping was for fools, and I got about 4 hours of sleep. I felt like a zombie. And I didn't even have any diet coke! Luckily, my sweet husband surprised me and got off work at noon. He found me in bed, looking like this:

He had flowers and diet coke. The keys to my heart! Then he went out and brought us home lunch and we enjoyed it while Sadie napped.

We went on a long drive and then went to Olive Garden for dinner. It's kind of our favorite place ever. Sadie enjoyed sucking on coasters. We thought about getting a babysitter, but we kinda like having her with us always. She is still pretty easy, so we'll enjoy it while we can.

We watched a movie and hung out the rest of the night. It was a simple, low-key, wonderful anniversary. I really, really love my husband. I try not to gush about him too much because I know people get annoyed or think it's not genuine, so I will be brief. He is the best choice I ever made. I love him so much.
I had to throw in this picture from Friday night because it perfectly sums up how Sadie and Lady feel about each other.
Saturday morning, Nathan got up with Sadie, and they went and got us bagels. We enjoyed the first session of Conference, then played at the park with some Del Taco, then came home for the second. We made Cadbury egg brownies that night. And I died from DELICIOUSNESS!
Enjoying a french fry. This girl likes her food salty.
The sun came out and it got HOT. I was happy to give her an opportunity to wear her awesome sun hat.

Sunday we watched Conference and then headed out to my Nana and Papa's house to celebrate Easter with some aunts, uncles, and cousins! We had an awesome meal and had fun catching up. Pretty good Confriversayster, if I do say so myself.
Playing the piano with my youngest cousin, Mikey.
