Halloween!!!

This Halloween was SO MUCH FUN!!!!!
I am so glad we got to spend it with the Merkleys. Before we got married, we spent all our Halloween's with the Merkleys. I even went there while Nathan was on his mission!! But we haven't been able to do one together since we got married. So this was perfect. We went to the Robison's house in Lovelock. And Amanda planned the perfect Halloween.

Friday started out with a work party at Nathan's office. It was fun to see everyone, and Sadie got to trick or treat to some of the different departments and she loved it. We ate lunch and caught up with everyone. And then we got to leave at 2 and head to Lovelock! That was awesome, because we got there well before bedtime and got to hang out for a few extra hours than usual.

Sadie's first time at a McDonald's playground. It was a big moment for all of us.

The next day was Halloween!! Brad made us a delicious breakfast, and we all got ready. We headed to a pumpkin patch, and the kids had so much fun. They ran everywhere looking for the perfect pumpkin. Sadie and Jonas had fun eating dirt. It was a good time all around.
Jonas would come over anytime Sadie ate, and she'd feed him. I love it.

Trying to get the babies to take a picture. It didn't work.

We came home for lunch and naps and pumpkin carving and relaxing outside! It was the perfect weather. Not hot, but not cold.

Then we had THANKSGIVING DINNER. Best idea ever. Brad made the most incredible turkey, and I ate wayyyy too much.

After that we started our Halloween game! I wish I had pictures, but I was trying way too hard to win. Which I did not. But Amanda put together this amazing game, even hand making a vintage-looking spell book! It was a lot of fun.

After that we got into costumes and headed to the Hospital where Brad words to trick or treat to some of the elderly people who are living there. They were so excited to see the little kids! When we came home, we got right out and did some real trick or treating! Sadie LOVED it. And Brad and Amanda's neighborhood is so cute and fun!
We worked forever to get the right pieces for Nathan's costumer and it was PERFECT!! The Labyrinth isa famous Merkley childhood movie, and everyone always jokes that he looks just like David Bowie. (Which he does). I came out first, and Amanda instantly knew who I was, and everyone got so excited to see Nathan! Hahaha. People out on the streets would yell at him, "It's Jareth, the Goblin King!" He was pretty proud.
The house across the street. They gave out king size candy bars. I lobe them.
Running in opposite directions as we try to get a picture of them together
Sadie liked Amanda's antlers

The kids sorted and ate candy when we got home and we took some family pictures. Then the babies went to bed and we got to eat homemade caramel apples and watch a scary movie. Perfect Halloween.

We changed Sadie into her Toby costume for our family picture. Sarah, Toby, and Jareth!

Sunday came too soon. Literally, because Sadie was up at 6am. (Thanks daylight savings!) We hung out and relaxed basically all day until it was time to go. Thank you for such a perfect weekend, Amanda!!
