More things we did in August

+ There's the usual round of selfies with my kids. Some of them are real beauts! 

+ And then the usual round of "I can't stop taking pictures of my kids together"

We were all amazed on this morning as Jack wiggled out of both his pajamas AND his velcro swaddle.

+ We had date nights out to dinner where Sadie got strawberries over everything.

+ Lots of walks around the neighborhood 

+ Playdates with Sadie's future husband. Luckily, we think his parents are kinda the best.

+ Sadie watched Tangled for the first time, and this was her face during the lantern scene. It was so cute.

+ My sweet young women and fellow leaders threw us a little shower for Jack.

+ I read Cursed Child and didn't love it.

+ We spent tons of time in the yard, especially in the pool

+ We also had lots of lazy days where we just lay around the house

+ Nathan and I have been working on being more present as parents. We spend WAYYY more time with the TV off and our phones away. (Except for picture taking because that's a habit I'll never break.) It has been really nice. Our evenings and weekends together as a family are so much fun. Plus, we really like our kids.

Sadie's face is the best thing that's ever happened to anyone 

+ Sadie has discovered that coloring on things is more fun than on paper. This is just one example that happened in about 1 minute.

+ Sadie has been such a trooper dealing with the transition into 2 kids. I try to do fun things for her as much as possible. She has also become quite the painter this month. Real paints and watercolors.

+ They had their first bath together!!!! 

+ We spent many evenings at different parks.

+ We also spent many lunchtimes at different parks

+ I made more collages that made me cry

+ Lady cat is as weird and needy as ever

+And my mom actually stayed with us for a few more days!!! Very unexpected days. Due to Delta and their computer issues, my mom was stranded in Salt Lake for two days, when she was supposed only have a couple hour layover. We didn't mind seeing her again though.
