Faja's Day

Yesterday, I had a lot of fun celebrating the most handsome man in the whole world.

I woke him up to breakfast in bed using the new waffle maker I bought for "us," but let's be honest. That was just for me. He got to open his presents which were wrapped in Christmas wrapping paper, because somehow I have 4 rolls of Christmas wrapping paper and not a single roll of normal wrapping paper. I really like this husband of mine. After we lost the baby, all the books said it would be normal to fight a lot with my spouse. They said the tragedy would probably drive a wedge between us. They said my husband would be angry if I was sad for too long. Some even said that 50% of marriages when things like this happen, end in divorce. The exact opposite happened for us. It brought us closer than I ever thought possible. I didn't think it was possible to love my husband more, but I can;t explain the closeness we have now. He has been my absolute rock during this trial. He has let me cry, he has cried with me, he has made me laugh, he has strengthened me, he has taken care of me. I am so thankful for him. 

Thank you Nathan, for being the best husband and best Father. I know Maddie is wishing you a happy Father's Day too. We are two very lucky girls to have you. I love you!

And of course, my two dads need a shout out too!

My daddy is one of my best friends. He has taken care of me my entire life, and contines to do so today. He loves me and supports me and makes me laugh. (Thanks for the weird sense of humor, dad). He tells me he is proud of me every single time I talk to him. Every time! And it makes me so happy. He has always made me feel special and beautiful. His example has taught e how to be a good person. He is so kind and selfless. I see so many traits in Nathan that remind me of my dad and I am so happy. I always wanted to marry someone just like him :) I love my Ffejy!

And of course, my faja-in-law!

I have much better pictures of him, but this one is my favorite. It makes me laugh so hard! We had no idea he was sneaking into the back. And that's one of the things I love about him. He is so fun-loving and easy going. He always has funny jokes and magic tricks to show us. He has worked so hard for his family his entire life. I admire so much the way he takes care of his family and how he takes care of my sweet mother-in-law. They are the cutest couple. They still act like young sweethearts and I love it! Nathan has inherited so much from his father, and I am grateful for the way he raised him.
I am a lucky lady to have married into the family that I did!
