Okay so I had to take a little break from blogging about my trip, beucase I had a super grumpy few days. Basically the worst thing happened.
Somehow, I lost a whole days worth of pictures of our trip.
BUT NOT JUST ANY DAY.
Our first full day up in McCall. The day we went on a walk down to the river. And we explored the cute down town area. And we all ate lunch right on the lake. And Autumn and Greyson handed out hilarious and heart-felt gifts to everyone. And we all played outside until 11pm. And I took a million gorgeous shots of the lake. And we had a camp fire. And we had s'mores. And we played glow-in-the-dark bocci ball.
I LOVE THEM ALL. THEY ARE ALL GONE.
I cried. And I pouted for several days. And Nathan told me to get over it but I told him I didn't even want to finish going through all the trip pictures. It could have been a lot worse, I could have lost the wedding pcitures! But still. I am the picture queen. And this sucks butts.
But I have recovered. Slightly. And I will try to continue on.
Starting from where I left off, we woke up Sunday morning at my in-laws, and promptly took pictures of the matching babies. (Amanda also did a photoshoot of Sadie's face and I am not complaining).
Nathan procrastinated his final project, and had to do it while we were up there. Isn't he a fox, though?
Then we all packed up and headed to McCall!! (Nathan and I got Burgen Den on the way. It's a little Burger place in my in-laws small town. AND IT IS THE BEST. You guys, I am saying better than in-n-out or 5 guys. I love it so much. And their milkshakes. OHHH MYYY GOSSHHHH).
The drive was about 2 hours and really pretty. We settled into our vacation houses. All the siblings got to stay together in the main house, which was a blast! Autumn and Greyson had their own house, and mom and dad stayed in a house nearby with their little kids and Greyson's mom, Suzanne.
The house was HUGE. I loved our bedroom, and I wish I had taken pictures. When you first opened the door to our room, there was a hallway. So our room was set back, away from the house which was great for when Sadie needed to nap. We had an attached bathroom, with pretty much the coolest shower ever. You guys, there were 4 shower heads. And heated floors.
The back yard was GORGEOUS. (I am sad again about losing all those pictures I took of it). We had a huge pond and tons of grass and a big patio and a fire pit. It was the perfect party house.
But not too much happened this day, expect for hanging out and staying up way too late.
The next day, which will forever be known as "the lost pictures day", was so fun! We went to my in-law's house for breakfast and hung out for a bit. (Thankfully we have a few iphone pictures from the day.. but only a few).
Then we went to down town McCall, which is right on the lake and sooo cute! We explored some shops, then got Mexican food and ate it at a park right on the lake. Sadie Played in her first splash pad. AND I DON'T HAVE THE PICTURES OF IT! THANKS FOR REMINDING ME!!!
Afterwards people took some naps, and we planned some wedding surprises. (This is weird to be documenting with just words, and not pictures. DID I TELL YOU I LOST ALL THE PICTURES?!) Everyone came back over to the main house for some dinner, and presents from Autumn and Greyson. They are kinda professional present picker-outers. They got us some toys for Sadie, an awesome Space Cat onesie for Sadie, I got the best book ever called "I Need a New Butt," we got a lot of little things like New Zealand candy and treats, and Nathan got some giant underwear. Because, of course.
We had s'mores and talked by the fire until around 10:30. Then mom and dad took the kids home, and we played glow-in-the-dark bocci ball. Austin and Ewa brought it. That was probably the best game ever. I made a lot of fart noises. It helped my ball go further. I have very patient in-laws.
iphone pictures don't do this place any justice. |

Me, just bending over, trying to get the perfect shot. A shot that I will delete in a few days. |
So basically it was the best day. BUT I LOST ALL THE PICTURES.
