You guys. I finally did it.
I FINALLY got my husband to calm down about my birthday.
I love him. He's so sweet. And it was a lot of fun when we were young and dating. But Nathan makes my birthdays these 24-hour-long events filled with non-stop activities and food and way too many presents. Every year he tells me he is going to calm down, and he doesn't.
Finally. It happened. haha.
I forced him to celebrate on my actual birthday, which was a weekday, so I think that helped a lot. It was still such a great day! I really am so grateful for such a sweet and thoughtful husband. Even when he can overwhelm just a tiny bit.
My morning started out with breakfast in bed! My heartburn and morning sickness make it easy. I can only stomach cereal, haha.
I'm gonna be honest, I can't remember what I did during the day of my birthday. I had been feeling pretty sick, and Sadie was in the middle of her crazy mood changes. I am pretty sure we just sat at home, haha. Katie stopped by in the morning and brought me McDonald's diet coke and a Mcflurry because she's the freaking best!!!! I think maybe we ran to Target after that? Nathan brought home Jimmy Johns for lunch which is my BIGGEST pregnancy craving in the world. Oh my gosh I want it so bad right now. I ate my McFlurry right before taking a glorious nap.
By the time dinner rolled around I was even more sick and almost didn't want dinner at all. I settled for a couple tacos from del taco. Then I got to open presents! Nathan got me several things off my target and amazon wish lists, and made me the most beautiful pictures on wood things. (I have no idea what else to call them). He was a having a hard time thinking my day wasn't special enough or I didn't get enough presents, but it was perfect. We went for a drive later and got swig drinks and cookies which is my second biggest pregnant craving. It was such a low-key and lovely day!
