ER visit #1

I got a UTI on Friday and I was like, "Come on just let me recover from labor without pain!!!"
Then I started getting these really sharp and intense chest pains. Then they started getting worse and more often and more intense. Then Saturday came and the chest pains continued on and I tired to ignore them. But I woke up with a really intense pain in only my right calf. Then I looked at a paper my hospital discharged me with. The top things they said to call about? Chest and calf pain.
Comeeeeeee on.
I called my doctor and she said I should defintely go into the ER. Gosh friggin dangit.
So Sadie hung out with Grandma, and Nathan, Jack, and I headed into the ER.
One good thing about being postpartum with chest pain? They get you back asap.
The did an EKG. Normal.
Then we sat for over and hour before getting an ultrasound on my legs. Normal.
Then we sat for another hour before I got a CT scan. Normal.
We ended up being there for about 4 hours, which is really not bad for an emergency room on a Saturday evening, but I was frustrated. I felt like we had just gotten home and settled and then this happened. I am really glad nothing was wrong too. They said my chest pain was probably muscle and chest cavity irritation from labor. It went away after about 5 days, so that was nice. I am not really sure why only one of my calves was really sore and the other wasn't. But ohhh well.
Jack and Nathan were good sports. Jack nursed a couple times and slept the rest of the time. We watched a lot of Naked and Afraid and got In-N-Out on the way home. It was basically a party.
I had no idea we'd be back in a different ER in less than 48 hours.
Jack was great and slept most of the time, and nursed a couple times. We watched a Naked and Afraid marathon and it's now our new favorite show.
