The Story of Us

Get the more detailed version here if you'd like.

We met on March 21, 2007 at the Haagen Dazs in Salt Lake City. I had been working there for a few weeks. After an awkward first encounter, Nathan asked for my number and we quickly became attached. It was love at first scoop! He liked that bleach blonde thing I guess.
The summer was spent in different states and the fall in different cities, so we tried doing that whole "just friends" thing. Turns out we weren't very good at it. March 7, 2008 we became the real deal.
It was all fun and games until a mission call came in the mail. I found out my best friend would be in St. Louis, MO for the next two years. We had a few more months of love and fun, and then said goodbye at the Las Vegas Airport. Definitely one of the hardest things I have ever had to do.
The 2 years came and went. (I'll spare you the roller-coaster-of-emotions details. You can read my old blog for that depressing crap). He served an amazing mission touching the lives of so many people and I got to experience life for myself, including graduating from BYU and fulfilling my life-long dream of becoming a special ed teacher.
Two years and a lot of letters later, Nathan came home to me and things picked right up where they left off. He was only a tiny bit awkward.
He proposed on New Years Eve 2011, a whopping 11 days after he got home. I can't think of a better way to start the New Year than to promise eternity to the man of my dreams.
We were married 3 months later on April 6th, 2012 in the Newport Beach Temple. It was basically the most bomb day of my life.

On April 13, 2013, Madelyn Rose joined our family and quickly left the world. She filled our hearts, and broke them as well. But we are thankful to have her as our guardian angel.

Almost a year and a half later, Madelyn sent us her little sister, and Sadie Rose quickly healed our broken hearts.

20 months later and Jack Richards came along!

So here we are, currently living out our happily ever after.
And blogging about it too.
