Sadie at 13 months

So I've decided that while I wont be doing photo shoots every month (that crap is hard), I do think I'll be doing little updates once every other month or so. She's just still changing so much!! And I want to document it.  I am sucking on keeping the blog completely updated, and I am still not sure how often I will be blogging about our day-to-day life. It was too hard to keep up with!! But I want these Sadie updates. I just started making her baby book, and without those month updates, I would be lost.

-She's walking full time. She still falls occasionally, but she gets right back up. Just a few weeks after she turned one, it finally seemed to click.

-She talks all day long, mostly in her own language. Words she actually does say: bye-bye, night-night, ball, balloon (boon), pumpkin (bu-pu), apple (bapple), dog, mama, dada, baba, shoes (shuz). She's knows what a piggy, a lamb, and a kitty says. But to her, all other animals make the same sound a pig does.

-She learned to blow a kiss and now LOVES doing it. She blows us kisses every night as we walk out of her room.

-She loves being silly. She purposely falls over or hangs upside down and laughs hysterically. She'll walk up and push you and laugh. She puts her head on the group and her butt in the air and laughs. She runs around saying, "woooah!" She thinks she's pretty funny.

-I've posted a few videos, but this girl seriously loves to fake laugh. She does it allllll the time. She loves to do it when walking around target or when we're at church the most for some reason.

-She is ball obsessed. (I was trying to did the best way to say that without it sounding gross). But she loves them. It's her favorite toy. If she sees anything ball-shaped, she yells, "ball!" We have a soccer ball in our trunk, and she knows, so every time we even start to open our trunk, she starts screaming, "ball!"
Watching soccer practice and yelling, "BALL!"
-We are done with bottles, and onto sippys. It was an easy transition once I found the right cup. She loves cow's milk sooo much. She would drink it all day if I let her.
-She's a great ester and has eaten basically everything we've ever given her. Her favorite foods are: blueberries, bananas, strawberries, eggs, peanut butter sandwiches, apples/applesauce, peas, carrots, asparagus, pickles, potatoes, polish sausage, quesadillas, and chicken. We've been feeding her off a plate instead of just her tray and she's finally learned not to dump it over.

-She loves playing with cars. She drives them along the floor and goes "voooooooom." She also just loves playing in our car! She's obsessed. If I just let her into the front two seats of the car, she'd be happy for hours. She plays with the buttons and knobs and pretends to drive.

-She loves furniture stores. Yep, you heard that right. We went to several furniture stores this month trying to find an affordable couch for us, and she freaked out every time! She walk and crawl and yell all over the place. She's climb all over the couches laughing. I have no idea why she likes them so much.

-I don't really remember when it happened, I think sometime before her first birthday, but she's down to one nap a day. She goes down from 11:30 to 2:30ish. I definitely miss having double the amount of alone time, but it makes it easier to get out and do stuff. She goes down at 8 every night and sleeps through until 7:30 every morning. She's been sleeping through the night for quite a few months now, but it never gets less awesome.

-She's awesome at throwing tantrums. She's already so dramatic and I know I'm definitely in for it. She will crumple to the floor and put her head on the floor and cry and cry. She's mastered the fake cry. It's incredible. Her lips pour out and it's quite pathetic. She also does a lot of real crying though. Her mood can flip like a switch. My little drama queen.

-She's becoming more cuddly which I love. She gives hugs and tons of kisses. She loves to sit on laps. when it's bed time, she lays he head on your shoulder and loves to be bounced and sung to. She was not cuddly as a baby (besides the newborn stage), so I am loving this! She really loves to sit up on the couch with us. She feels really cool. But she loves it even more when we lay on the floor with her.

-She loves putting things in and out of other things- if that makes sense. She especially love our empty soda cups. She takes the lid off and the straw out. Then puts the lid back on and the straw back in. Those cups are awesome.

-She still loves Lady, but she has calmed down a lot. Sometimes it's like she forgets she's there, and then she'll catch sight of her and freak out.

-She loves her dada, and gets so excited when she hears the front door unlock. She walks over to great him. She gets up most mornings while he's in the shower. When the shower goes off, he calls to her and she heads over and knocks on the bathroom door or sticks her hands under the door until he lets her in and she laughs hysterically. The second he kisses her in the morning she starts waving and saying, "bye-bye!" She knows exactly what to do, haha.

-Nathan starts on home work right as I put Sadie to bed. He comes in for prayer and then says goodnight and goes back to homework. I turn the lights out and sing her a song, but Sadie can see Nathan through the open door. She laughs and points until he looks at her and she laughs and laughs. It happened every single night. Last night I was in a hurry and laid her down before she did that. She wouldn't go to sleep and kept crying, which isn't like her. So I went back in and the second I picked her up, she turned and pointed out the door at Nathan and started laughing. After that she went right to sleep :)

-She loves baths and could play in there all day. She loves walks and getting out of the house in general. She DOES NOT love the car anymore. She used to be happy in her seat forever, but now it's a battle.

-She's finally starting liking tv. She used to be too busy for it. Now a couple shows will mostly hold her attention. BUT, there's this certain Barney movie on Netflix. It's awful and annoying and clearly very low budget. But that thing is magic. She doesn't watch a lot of tv, but I use that thing as my secret weapon. If I need to get stuff done or need a serious break, I turn it on. She will not move for the entire 45 minutes it's on. It's crazy!
She loves to bring as many treasures up on the couch with her as possible
She walks around all day with my hand towels
-She loves building towers with her blocks, and especially loves to put something besides a block, like car or a ball, at the top of her tower. She expects applause the second her tower is finished.

-She's known where the nose is for a while (although she doesn't realize she has a nose, only other people), but she now knows eyes, mouth, hair, feet, and loves to show you her tummy.

-She's got 8 teeth now and uses those chompers well. She loves to eat apples. She will take the whole apple around the house with her and finish the whole thing down to the core.

-She loves dancing and loves music. She doesn't go to bed without a song. Sometimes she even hums and sings along. She copies to conductor at church and waves her arms during the songs in Sacrament Meeting.

-She understands most commands we give to her. Time to go to bed, let's brush your teeth, drink your milk, stop, that's okay, let's put your shoes on, let's take a bath, let's say a prayer, where's your toys.. all that stuff. It's really nice that she comprehends so much. Makes my life easier. She doesn't understand "it's hot" though. Homegirl hates to wait for her dinner to cool down. So much like her mama.

-She loves to talk on the phone. She usually uses our giant iphones, but sometimes she will just pick up a random toy and pretend it's a phone.

-She loves shaking her head and say, "uh-uh." That's how we tell her no. Sometimes she will start doing something she knows she isn't allowed to do, and will shake her head and say "uh-uh." Hahaha. She nods her head too, but doesn't say yes.
-She's not scared of much, and loves to be thrown around, and try to climb things she shouldn't.

-She's definitely a mama's girl, but has become more independent. She goes around the house and plays by herself in different rooms. She has also been left with a babysitter a few times now. Big steps for me, haha.

-Her hair is really starting to come in, but it grows way faster in the back. Creating a mullet of sorts. And we love it.

-She's more and more of a toddler every day. And we are obsessed.

THEN DO YOU REMEMBER HOW I OPENED IPHOTO THE OTHER DAY AND IT TOLD ME IT NEEDED TO REPAIR DAMAGES AND I WAS LIKE, "OKAY, WHATEVER YOU NEED TO DO, IPHOTO," AND WHEN IT OPENED BACK UP THERE WAS A FOLDER OF RECOVERED IMAGES AND IT HAD ALL OF THE PICTURES THAT I THOUGHT I HAD LOST?!?!
DO YOU REMEMBER THAT?!!?!!?

Yes, all the lost pictures have been found! And here they are!!!

Exploring down town
Lunch by the lake!
Playing in a splash pad
Opening presents from Autumn and Greyson!
They got me a book all about a kid who wants a new butt because his has a crack in it. They know me so well.
They bought Shawn and Nathan giant underwear. Because duh.
This was our backyard
A hike the next morning
Our day at the beach

I am so glad I found these. If you know me, you know how important pictures are to me. And while Amanda had the beach day covered with her camera, we were the only ones taking pictures on that day we explored McCall and partied outside. I felt awful when I told everyone they somehow disappeared. AND NOW THEY ARE BACK!
