Sadie at 21 months

Back on June 27th, this lady turned 21 months. I can't believe she's almost 2!!!

+ She discovered her shadow. It terrified her at first, but now she's obsessed. She looks for it every time we go outside.
drinking left over formula from when I had to pump and dump after my CT scan and Jack needed formula. She loved it, haha

+ STUFFED ANIMALS. SHE IS SO OBSESSED WITH STUFFED ANIMALS. First thing every morning, she grabs a bunch of stuffed animals. She loves to set them up and sit with them. She loves to carry them around. She loves to make them talk to each other. She loves to kiss them and make them kiss. She loves to put them to sleep or feed them food. And she loves to cuddle them. She sleeps with "meow" (her cat from build-a-bear) and "dog" (a stuffed dalmatian I had growing up) every night and for every nap. I don't know why she chose those two, but she loves them.

+ She is putting together more and more sentences on her own, and it's just so cute. She's talking better and better. She repeats everything we say.

+ Cousin Carcar (Carson) is her favorite person. She still asks about him every day since he came to stay with us.

+ Suddenly HATES having her diaper changed and her tantrums are getting more and more intense. She is so good at pouting too, and it friggin kills me.

+ She is starting to not want to share and it noticing when kids take or have what she wants and she whines about it.

+ She's starting to get the cutest little tan. She's still pasty, but I've noticed tan lines and I love it.

+ She loves to take shoes on and off. Every week in nursery they hand me her shoes and she comes running out barefoot. She loves to find our shoes and wear them around, or try to put them on our feet.

+ She's just so big and figures so many things out for herself. I'll think I need to run over and help her do something, and then she's got it done before I even get there.

+ SHE BECAME A BIG SISTER!!!!!!!! This has gone so much more smoothly than I could have imagined. She LOVES him. I do have to keep her away from him most of the time, but I love how obsessed she is. He is the first thing she asks for in the morning and after her nap. She gives him kisses all day long. She gets worried when he cries. She gets right up in his face and says, "Hi baby" over and over and over again. She is so freaking sweet. I just love it.

+ She loves to be in her pool in the backyard. She loves being outside in general.

+ She does a fake laugh and then says, "It's funny!" and it's probably my favorite thing ever.
She uses the squatty potty and toilet as her own table.

+ Her favorite toy is her little toy broom. Sometimes she tries to take it to bed with her.

+ Sometimes she will just grab my face or Nathan's face, and plant a big kiss on our mouths. It's kinda the best.

+ It was so hard to leave her so often this month. We left her when we went to deliver Jack, when we went to the ER for me, and then when Jack was in the hospital. She did great with my mom and she definitely adores her, but it did take a toll on her. She would get so excited to see us and ask for us often. When we were all home she would get so hyper and happy. She would say, "Mama, Dada, baby!" All the time. She was such a good sport though. My mom was a pretty dang good sport too, haha.

+ She says "What is this?" and "What is that?" alllll the time.

+ I know I've already talked about this, but she has seriously adjusted to being a big sister SO WELL. Sometimes I can't believe it. Even with the week in the hospital throwing things off, she isn't phased. She loves him so much, she really doesn't get jealous, and she is just living life like normal.
