Sadie and her daddy

There's something magical about watching the man you have loved for 7 years become a daddy. 

You didn't think you could love him more, and then BAM! Your heart expands more than you thought possible. It's growing to make room for this tiny baby, and the daddy who took the place of your husband.

I never had any doubts that Nathan would be an amazing dad, but seeing him actually be it has been the most incredible experience for me. He is so hands on. He helps so much. He loves her so sweetly. It's no surprise to me that she adores him right back.

They are quite the little team already. I get so excited thinking of how their relationship will grow over the years. Our hearts broke so badly when we lost Madelyn. I cried over many things, but one of those things was not giving Nathan the daughter he wanted so much. I am so happy that our aching hearts have been mended. I am so happy he gets another little girl.

I could watch them interact for hours. It's so crazy to sit back and watch the two biggest pieces of your heart smile and laugh together. I can't think of anything better. 

There's a special smile she has just for him.When he walks through the door after work, I've never seen a face light up so much. Her smile takes over her whole face. She kicks her legs and flaps her arms. She giggles and squeals. He can get her laughing harder then I have ever been able to. 4 months old and she already realizes who the fun parent is. 

There are moments where my heart feels close to bursting. This is what we wanted for so long. This is what I prayed for my whole life. An amazing man to love me, and to love his babies. And boy does he love that little girl.
