Mother's Day

Oh Mother's Day. It's always been a holiday of many emotions for me. But I can say this has been the best Mother's Day ever. Mostly because this little squishy is here with me now.

Nathan got up with Sadie the night before, or at least tried. She was pretty mad that there was a bearded man giving her a bottle, and not her mom giving her a boob. But he got up with her that morning and I slept in and it was amazing. She was down for her first nap when I woke up and Nathan brought me breakfast in bed. 

We relaxed and ate and then got ready and headed off to church! I got more flowers and candy and the men took our YW classes so we could go to Relief Society. It was the first time I've been to Relief Society in over a year!

Sadie went down for a nap and Nathan made me lunch and we did my favorite Sunday afternoon activity: watching Lord of The Rings in bed while eating and food and then taking a nap. I'm serious. I love doing this, hahaha. Lady snuggled up with me and it was a great afternoon.

We woke up suddenly, not to Sadie crying, but to Lady knocking my flowers off the dresser. Thanks Lady. We spent the rest of the day playing together as a family, and, of course, eating. Nathan found this bomb ice cream called mint cookies and cream. It's like mint chip/cookies and cream and it was amazing. Sadie gave me some lovely, Mother's Day "kisses." She is the best thing that has ever happened to me. She gets more amazing every day. She has so much sass and personality, and she is so sweet and loving. I am so happy that I get to be her mother. This job is the hardest thing I have ever done, but without a doubt, the most rewarding. I love this little nugget with all my heart!
