California!

I have a really awesome big sister.

She offered to use some of their southwest points to fly Sadie and I out to play for a few days before they move to Arizona.

I was supposed to go out and keep them company while Blake was gone in Toronto. He ended up coming home the same day as me, so that didn't quite work out, but I was really glad we got to spend time with him too!

It was such a fun trip. Getting to spend time with my sister and her babies is my favorite. I also love seeing Sadie with her cousins. It's so sweet!

The trip started out with the flight from Hell. Not because of Sadie, but because one of the engines wouldn't start and we sat on the plane for TWO HOURS with no air conditioning. Sadie was so tired, but too hot to fall asleep. She cried on and off, but fell asleep pretty quick when we finally took off.

Very lucky to have an empty seat next to us, and a very sweet woman on the other side.

Our big airport welcome! I wish you could hear how high-pitched Carson's voice goes when he talks to Sadie.

That night we headed to the park for Carson's class party. It was such a pretty night!

Friday was nice and lazy. We got to pick Carson and Ava up from school, and they were both just a little excited, haha. We got some lunch and played around. That night, Kelsey was in charge of a craft night at the church. Sadie got to crawl around the whole gym, and I made a super cute 4th of July craft!

I love this picture. It's such a simple one, but so special to me. Ava was my first, and my only, niece. She was my little buddy for years. I have so many pictures of her sitting with me, watching cartoons just like this one. I held her and loved her while I waited for my own babies. And when we lost our first baby, she had the most tender heart about it all. She still asks me about Maddie. But now I get to have pictures of Ava and my own baby sitting together, watching cartoons. I waited a long time for this.

Saturday we got to go to cousin Ava's soccer game! Ava had a bit of a melt-down, but we had fun, hahaha.

 We played at a park that night, then Soup Plantation. Of course.

Experiencing sand for the first time

Kelsey and I have learned that now that so many babies are here, we don't appear in any of the pictures. This was the only picture I got of us on our awesome weekend.

But we had a little party Saturday night. She did some hair because she is my hair miracle woman and so kind to always be willing to do it. Then we watched "I killed my BFF." An amazing Lifetime Original movie where we really had no idea how it was going to end. We also ate COOKIE BUTTER ice cream with COOKIE BUTTER cheesecake. I can't make this stuff up. It was AMAZING.

 It was so sad to leave these awesome people. They loved on little Sadie all weekend and she had a hard time adjusting to just hanging out with lame mom. We love them so much!!!

 The flight home was much more enjoyable. Her 8th flight was a success! She's such an easy traveler.
