temple lights

We took our yearly venture down to the Temple Square lights last Thursday! We got Chickfila first, because that's the best part of the tradition.

Then it was lights time! It was friggin freezing, but the kids had like.. 8 layers on. Sadie was so excited and loved everything. She loved going around to the different nativities to point out where baby Jesus was. Jack was in awe of everything.
Getting other people to take pictures for you with your DSLR is really frustrating sometimes, haha. We asked two different people, showed them how to use it, and this was the best one we got.

We walked back to our car through City Creek because we love it there. And it's heated. And the view from the skybridge at Christmas is an A+.

November listy!

+ It's hard to remember now that it's so cold, but November was a mostly warm month! We played in the yard a lot. I really got into using my new phone camera because it's kinda the best, haha. We love our yard.

+ We also met up with friends for lunch and a playdate!

+ We lived through one of the weirdest election nights ever. We had it on in the background, thinking it was going to be a landslide for Hilary. As the night progressed we were glued to the TV. We couldn't believe what was happening. It was a strange night, haha.

+ Due to so little sleep in November, we had lots of lazy days where we just laid around. And took selfies.
Nathan comes home from work and just need to "rest his eyes." He falls asleep every time.
Practicing our grumpy faces

+ Daddy is everyone's favorite, as usual. Including mine. He is so close to being done with school and we are so excited!!!!
Ps. Sadie took this picture! She's got skills
+ Sadie requests two things every single day: to listen to music on "daddy's puter" and to dance in the kitchen. She usually gets her way. She especially loves to dance to "Underneath The Tree" by Kelly Clarkson.

+ I am extra obsessed with Sadie and Jack and their sibling dynamic right now. So excuse me while I share a million pictures. I just love how much he notices and loves her now. They love to just be together. He could watch her play forever. And she loves to have him around her all day.

+ Sadie has an obsession with taking pictures on our phones. She will easily take 8000, but i love to look through them and see the things she thinks are important to take pictures of. She really doesn't like selfies as much as she likes to take pictures of other things. Jack, Lady, and her toys seem to be her favorites. She also really loves taking pictures of Nathan and I too.

+ We discovered a love for Smash Burger. Yes, I know we are behind the times.

+ Lady is still Lady cat! Needy and dramatic as ever.

+ I didn't really know it was possible, but Sadie seems to be even more snuggly and loving lately. She's just such a hyper-active sweetheart. Jack goes to bed at 730 so that Sadie gets 30 minutes of alone time with us every night and she loves it. And we love her.

+ But sometimes she's like this.

+ And most important of all, I ran to Target one night for milk, and saw a sign that said the whole store was 15% off, and then I spent 2 hours there instead.
