Thanksgiving

We went up to Idaho for Thanksgiving this year!

The kids did really well on the drive, and we stopped at our favorite gas station that has a playground!

We got there a little after dinner, and Sadie immediately got into the dressup clothes.

The next morning was Thanksgiving! We hung out, ran a couple errands, and ate delicious food! We had pie and cheesecake and played games after dinner.

Sadie loves the Merkley dogs SOOOOO much! She hates when they are outside. She runs around yelling, "Zoe!!! Molly!!!!"

The next day, we took the kids out and braved Black Friday. We didn't find anything, haha. We came back home and relaxed and bought stuff online instead. Then we met Shawn and Megan for dinner!

We all went out to see the lights at the community college that night. We love it there!! We've gone in past years as well. Sadie was in heaven. It was freezing, but worth it.

Jack's sleep SUCKED this trip. We were all 4 in the same room, so we couldn't let him cry at all so he wouldn't wake Sadie up. He was like, "oh cool I'll wake up every hour and then be up for the day at 5am." Thursday night he woke up a million times then wouldn't go back to sleep at 5am. Nathan decided to just take him downstairs and see if he'd eventually fall back asleep in his bouncer. I took the bouncer down with him, and when I came back up, Sadie was awake. She was upset and wanted to come to bed with me. She then insisted she sleep with her face on mine. So although Nathan was trying to be sweet and let me sleep, he actually got more sleep down there when he got Jack back to sleep. I was awake the entire time Sadie slept on my face.

The next night Jack was up for good at 3am. I took him down this time. He was happy to be awake, but wanted me to hold him and I just couldn't handle it. So I turned on the TV for him and just laid there, more tired than I have ever been. HAPPY THANKSGIVING. I did get a little bit of sleep when he fell asleep in the bouncer. He woke up again and I nursed him back to sleep. Goodness child. You are insane. The night we got home I started sleep training, haha.

There was a big storm coming in Saturday evening, so we decided to leave around lunch time on Saturday. We played around in the morning, then got my favorite lunch of BURGER DEN before getting on the road. We made it home right as snow was starting to fall. It was a great trip!
