i am not creative enough to think of a title for this blog post about my weekend

I really should be working on the annotated bibliography due tomorrow in my reading endorsement class. But I don't want to! So instead.. I am here.

It was an amazing weekend! Just like I knew it would be.
Being home with my family was incredible and the weather was perfect!

Friday was spent mostly at the temple.
It's obviously a very special and sacred event that I do not want to share details on, but I will suffice to say that it was the most incredible day of my life and I have never been so filled with love and peace. I know this Gospel is true and I am so grateful to know that. I have waited a long time for this experience. It's even more than I thought it would be. I was so happy to have the people with me that I love most in the world.

We spent the evening at Cheesecake factory and then enjoyed Ice Cream and the extended version of The Return of the King. Yes, we watched over 4 hours of Lord of the Rings. Nathan was in Heaven.

Saturday was a wedding filled day! The morning was my bridal shower with the ladies from my home ward. It was so great to see so many people I haven't been able to see in forever and to catch up with these lovely ladies.

After that we took care of the flowers and visited the reception venue to map out the set up of the reception as well as the order of events. I am IN LOVE with our venue. It's exactly what I always wanted!! Just pray it doesn't rain on April 6th.

Then it was cupcake tasting time. We chose our flavors and got to enjoy the extras. After stuffing our stomachs, we stuffed invitations. We enjoyed Cafe Rio while doing it. Nathan snuck out to play with Ava instead. Saturday was also my dad's 50th birthday! He was amazing enough to share the weekend with Nathan and I and all the wedding crap. I love my Ffejy! So glad I got to be there for the big five-oh!

Sunday we went to church and had dinner outside in the amazing weather. We wanted to soak up every last second. It was a very busy weekend, but wonderful! And now, basically all the wedding stuff is taken care of! Just a few minor things left. I can't believe all the big stuff is done and now we just need to wait! It's blowing my mind that I actually get to marry Nathan in just 4 weeks. FOUR WEEKS!!!! That is nothing. I remember when he was on his mission thinking that it would be 2 years before I could even see him again, let alone marry him. Now I get him forever. It's the best feeling in the world!

We watched the sunset on Sunday night from Gate 3 at John Wayne Airport. I realized going back to Utah and work and the cold was a lot less depressing with him by my side. We talked about how the next time we set foot in California, it will be for our wedding. Only 32 more days :)
