my husband and my wife

When Nathan left on his mission, I became acquainted with Katie Bastian through "mutual friends" as we like to say. (We may or may not have met in a support group for girls sending off their boyfriends on missions). Anyway, I knew from when I first met Katie that we were going to be really good friends. Well good friends quickly turned into best friends and best friends quickly turned into life partners. Just kidding. Not really though. Katie and I have a pretty special friendship that very few people find in a lifetime and I am so thankful I had her those two years and that I still have her now. I wondered how me being married would change things, and to be honest, it hasn't changed them at all, besides the fact that we don't live together anymore. I still see Katie all the time. Sometimes we have dates on our own, and sometimes Nathan tags along and he adds to the dynamic perfectly without taking away from it. I am truly blessed to have these two special people in my life happen to really like each other :)

Friday night Katie made a freaking bomb dinner and then we went swimming! I love that we can swim at 8 oclock at night and now only is it still warm, but the sun is still up. Blessed summer time! Never leave me!
Sorry Katie, I had to edit this one and make it even gayer than before. We love each other so much.
How freaking cute is this guy? How dang.

Afterwards we went in for dessert and a movie that Katie said she loved as a child but hadn't seen in years and wanted to watch it again. She couldn't remember what it was about. Nathan and I agreed. The movie was Fried Green Tomatoes. That movie was so sad!!!! We all felt thoroughly depressed after watching it. But I also really liked it. Maybe I am into lesbians and tragic, untimely deaths and bad marriages and amputations and biter loneliness. Who knows?

All I know is I love these two. Very, very much.
