this blog post is not my fault

My sister-in-law claims I don't blog enough. Even though I blog more than SHE DOES. But my life is super boring so here's a bunch of weird things that come to my head and some pictures. I hope you're happy Amanda. This blog post is all your fault.

This week is teacher appreciation week. Sadly, this concept is lost on middle schoolers. Somebody better start appreciating me around here!

We hung out with Jessica and Marshall this weekend. Chilli's was involved, as well as some board games and some candy. I have no pictorial proof of this though, so you have no way of knowing if it actually happened or not. (It did happen though).

LOOOK AT MY CAT!

We are reading "The Outsiders" in my Language Arts class and it's one of my favorite books of all time and I am so worried that my kids won't like it and my hopes will be crushed and this is a run on sentence.

I have to pee really bad right now, but I keep doing this weird thing. Since I gave birth, I obviously have to pee a lot less. So I hold it as long as possible, just because I can. It makes me feel powerful that I am no longer dictated by a tiny bladder.

MY CAT HUGS ME!!

My parents are moving in just a little bit and so they have been slowly giving me all my crap. Recently, they sent back all my yearbooks and pictures. (I have taken a zillion pictures in my lifetime. Nathan promises to scan them. Then I shall do the most amazingly awkward post of my childhood). Anyway, we went through my 8th grade yearbook the other night because I wanted to see what I was like at my students' age. It was hilarious.(Sorry for the low quality pictures. I used my phone to take pictures of a yearbook. So.. that's that).

Exhibit A:
Look at the pucca shells. Looking through old photos I realized I was never without those trusty pucca shells. Please also notice the two strands of hair I have pulled out of my very tight hairstyle on either side of my head. I thought those were so sexy. They ARE so sexy. Also, braces. Ps. These are 3 of my very best childhood friends. Jen, Tahnee, and Jade. Yay friends!

Exhibit B:
You guys, this is the best part!! Meet my 8th grade boyfriend, Steve. We dated our entire 8th grade year. I was so sure we would get married. Hahahaha. Ohhh 8th grade. The bottom is us at the winter dance. I love how I am towering over him. For the record, we were usually the same height, but I wore giant heels to this dance because I thought I was super sexy. I mean, I was super sexy. The top is what he wrote in my yearbook. If you can't read it, I'll translate. "Hey Kaitlin. I love you soo much! Call u this summer so we can hangout! What more can I ask for? Ur beautiful, fun to be around, and nice!" It was intermixed with positive messages like: "I hope we stay together forever!" and "Things will work out!" Nathan and I were dying as we read this. Steve and I are still friends so I shared this with him and we had a good laugh. Seriously, 8th grade is such an uncomfortable time. But I love that I really thought my 8th grade boyfriend and I stood a chance. Young love.

I also found this picture while going through old things. I don't know what's happening. But Jenna and I liked to have a gooood time.

Guess how many things I have checked off my to-do-list today? NONE. I have checked off none things.

We saw Iron Man 3 this weekend and I LOVED IT!!!! There is so much action and my heart was pounding the entire movie. It had a fresh new take on the Iron Man character while still staying really funny. But seriously, RDJ can do no wrong in my eyes. I love that man.

MY CAT IS SO CUTE!!!!

The other night I had a dream where I spent 45 minutes at the soda machine in a gas station trying to get the perfect amount of ice, perfect amount of cherry flavoring, and perfect amount of diet coke in my big gulp cup. I wonder if this is a sign of addiction?

Nathan and I had a picnic one time. It was fun. We took some pictures. Here, look at them.

The very same sister-in-law who is making me blog, sent us a package last week that was pretty much the coolest package anyone has ever sent me. There was a coloring book inside all about how unicorns are jerks and I love it. I colored this magical picture yesterday.

Is it really only Monday? Oh crap.. I just realized that I have to write a reader's theater script for my class tomorrow night about a book I haven't read.. umm..

I get to take my students to Lagoon again this year. Nathan can't come but neither can anyone else's spouses so we will just hang out with each other and talk about how we're "ridin' solo" and cool things like that. It will be especially hilarious since we will actually be "ridin" roller coasters.

My lunch break is over in 5 minutes. Then my class will be full of smelly boys who I am supposed to teach. Who signed me up for this?! Oh yeah, I did.

I HAVE A CAT!!!!!!
