Monday morning we woke up and packed and left. It was sad to see the end of one part of the trip, but Sadie and I headed 2 more hours south to stay with my sister, Kelsey, in her new house! My parents and Cameron stayed 2 days with us there too.
Then we said goodbye to them, and the sickness started to set in. When my mom first got here to the states, she got sick. She passed it to Cameron. Then it made it's way to Tanner, then to Jessica, then TO marshall who was sick over the weekend. Then it made it's way to Kelsey and I. By some miracle, we didn't give it to any of the kids. But Kelsey and I spent a could days, being sick, single moms together. But it was so much fun! First of all, their new house is amaaaazing. Sadie loved having so much space to crawl. It was so much fun to see her play with her cousins, and watch her fall in love with them. They are just kinda obsessed with her too ;) It was fun to lay in Kelsey's bed just like we always do, and watch trashy tv. Or stay up late renting movies and eating cheesecake. We ventured out while her kids were in school and got some lunch and went shopping. Proof you can spend money, even when sick!!
Poor Jessica, who lives about 45 minutes away from Kelsey, got freaking step throat!! We missed her and sweet Tanner. Luckily, Tanner didn't get strep. How did we not infect our children? It's a miracle!

We had so much fun!!! It was hard to leave. Thanks for having us Kelsey : )
But the time did come for me to leave. To make the 12 hour drive home. I planned to stop around Vegas, and split the trip into two days. We stopped by to see the sickie! She will be so happy I posted this on the internet.
And then I started driving. I was sick, Sadie was teething, and I was worried it was going to be the longest day of my life. I didn't have Cameron to help me out. It was just me! She definitely whined a lot, but no real crying. I could easily hand her toys or a bottle when she needed it. She slept for a little bit, and then we stopped in a small city by the Hoover Damn to stretch, pee, and get gas. I was about an hour from Vegas, and thought it would be a little break before we stopped. Once we got back in the car, Sadie fell asleep. So I kept going. She slept all the way to St. George! At that point, I was back in Utah and felt like I could just go all the way. We stopped in St. George for some gas and dinner and so Sadie could have a break from her carseat, and then we got back in and drove! My butt hurt and I felt pretty sick, but the drive wasn't bad at all! I got to listen to lots of music and audiobooks. Sadie played a lot, talked to herself, whined a little, and slept. Once we hit Cedar City, she went to sleep for the night and didn't wake up until we got home around 11pm. 12-hour, solo drive with a 10 month old and only stopped twice?! That's pretty awesome.
And now we're home, and slowly adjusting to real life. We have a small family reunion this weekend, but it's only for a day a and a half and only a 2 hour drive. I can't believe how busy this summer has been and how fast it's gone by!! It's a relief to be settled for a little, but also sad. I hate living so far away from family. So everyone, just move here please!!!
