Month 11

Month 11?! This is crazzzyyy.

I am not super happy with her photoshoot this month. First, it was gloomy and the lighting sucked. Her dress just made it even more yellowy. Also, THIS CHILD IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PHOTOGRAPH NOW BECAUSE SHE NEVER STOPS MOVING. Case in point:

But still.. how freaking cute is she?! I decided to take things back to the white chair because this is her last month post.. :(

This month, we finished out our summer of traveling!! This summer flew by so fast, and I think it's because we were out with family, having so much fun! Sadie has proven to be an all-star traveler. She is so easy and so go-with-the-flow. She was going to bed at a different time every night, skipping naps, spending hours in the car, being passed around from stranger to stranger.. etc. She was a champ through it all. She was also a HUGE fan of the attention. She has become quite the little ham.
Smiles were not happening yesterday. She just wanted to take the camera from me,
We call her "wrecking ball" or "the destroyer" these days. She does not sit still. Not for a second. She crawls sooooo fast and is into everything. She can figure out how to open any drawer or cupboard, how to climb over or through and obstacle we put in her path, and loves to go to places where she knows she isn't allowed. She usually will look back at me and smile before she takes off and gets into something she knows she shouldn't. She definitely understands the word "no," but she doesn't care to listen. She leaves a mess in her wake wherever she goes. It's kinda funny. But I also feel like I am cleaning up my house all day long.

She has started to throw little tantrums, but they don't usually last too long. Sometimes if I tell her, "no," she gets mad and will knock something over or throw something and then cry. Other than that, she is pretty much always happy. Like.. always.

She still sleeps like a champ. She is really flexible. Her bedtime is anywhere between 8-9. She usually takes 2 naps, but we can skip her first one without too much trouble if we need to. We ditched the zipadee zip, (I'm sure all the awful people who watched my video were happy) and she did well. We hung onto it longer than we needed to, but she just loved it so much! She learned how to sit up in it, and it was pretty hilarious to get her up from her naps, and see a little starfish sitting up and laughing.

She is learning and growing so much! She knows where nose, eye, and tongue are. She associates "mama" and "dada" with us now. She knows what the words night-night, out, up, no, come here, kitty, baba, go outside, and bye-bye mean. She LOVES pointing. She points at everything. She has become obsessed with everything above her. It's like she just realized stuff exists above her head. She especially loves lights. She points and goes "Ooooooooo!" It's my favorite.
It was a stuffed animal that finally got her to smile

She loves to play games now. She plays peekaboo all day, with anything she can find. She was playing peekaboo last Sunday with the people behind us by squatting behind the pew and popping back up. She loves to be chased around the house. Her favorite game is to crawl as fast as she can to the cat food, then turn around and wait for Nathan to run and get her. She thinks it's hilarious. She loves reading books. She loves music and dancing and singing. Her favorite part of church is when we sing hymns. She dances and yells.

She loves stuffed animals more than anything in the world. Except for real animals. She is animal OBSESSED. We go to the farm by our house and she hyperventilates around the animals. It's amazing. Then, obviously, our cat. I think she's gotta get bored of her sometime, but she never does. If Lady is in the room, Sadie is trying to kiss her. She is so aggressive with her kisses to. She just crawls at her, full-speed, eyes closed, mouth open. It's awesome. Sadie has also been around a few different dogs recently, and she was as happy as anyone I've ever seen. Her arms flap, she screams, she laughs. Then she chases them. She is not afraid of anything. My friend' little chihuahua got nervous and barked in Sadie's face. She hardly flinched. I am glad she's an animal lover and has been so exposed to animals at such a young age.

She eats anything and everything. Including yarn from the rug or small pieces of random crap she finds on the ground. But really, if we give it to her, she'll eat it. She loves all baby food, but she mostly wants whatever is on our plates. And she feels entitled to it.

She's got four teeth. The top two took forever to break through, but they made it! She's weighs almost 19 pounds, and is a long, skinny, little thing. She looks more and more like a toddler every day. She pulls herself up on everything and scoots around like a pro. She can stand by herself for long periods of time, but she just doesn't really care about walking. I think it's because she can crawl so dang fast. Her hair is slowly coming in, and it is BLONDE. Almost white. It's starting to curl in the back and it's so freaking cute. I think she's keeping those big, blue eyes. She has the longest eyelashes. I want them.

She is the happiest baby. I know people say that about their babies all the time but.. she really is!! She throws fits, but they don't last long. She's even happy when we wake her up early from naps. As soon as her eyes open, she's smiling and laughing. She smiles at everyone when we got out in public. She points at them and talks to them. Or yells at them if they aren't paying attention. She wakes up in the morning just laughing and talking to herself. Sometimes I leave her in there for a while, just because she's so content just to talk to herself! She loves being around little kids. She just follows them around and smiles. She is so freaking sweet. Don't worry though, she has just as much sass.

She gets more and more fun every day. We can't believe she's almost one!! This year has been an adventure of the best kind.
