Our First Date

Soooo.. I have been a little paranoid about leaving Sadie with anyone besides Nathan. I have had plenty of alone time. Nathan is very hands on and watches her all the time while I run errands or nap or read alone in our bedroom or whatever. But besides the couple times we left her with my mother-in-law or mother while we ran to the store together, we have never actually left her. I think all first-time moms are paranoid, but I am already an anxious person, tack on Madelyn dying, and I was extra crazy, haha.

But Nathan has been trying to get me to leave her for a while. We go on dates several times a week, but Sadie always comes. He finally had to spring it on me. He bought us tickets to the Brandon Flowers concert. There was no getting out of that one!

Luckily I have Katie and Sadie knows her very well and I trust Katie so much! She was the world's best babysitter, and we had a blast! Once I was out the door, I didn't even worry.

We got dinner then headed to the show! We LOVE Brandon Flowers. The Killers are another "life band" for me, and for Nathan. Their music has been a big part of our relationship. When Nathan was on his mission, I would listen to them anytime I missed him. We saw The Killers a couple years ago, but this was our first time seeing Brandon solo. And it was amazing.

Guys, he is SO FREAKING GOOD. And he sang songs from both his solo albums, and tons of Killer's songs. Even thought we are old people and are knees, hips, and backs hurt from standing for 4 hours, it was worth it.

We got drinks at Sonic and took the long way home. Katie and Sadie had a pretty fun night too.

We got home and Katie was watching Mr. Rodger's Neighborhood. Yep. Then she made us watch all these creepy scenes and we ate pretzel mnm's and drank diet coke and Katie took this picture.

It was such a great night! It was wonderful to spend time just the two of us again. I love my cute husband. And Katie for being awesome. And Sadie because she's cute.
