I'm blogging about my cat again

I totally understand that some people don't like cats. I get that. Truth be told, I like dogs more! But I also love cats. And all you cat haters, you gotta understand.. my cat is the best thing in the world.

I often wake up and find her laying in between Nathan and I, just staring at me. She purrs the moment I open my eyes and gets so excited that we are finally up. I think she spends most of the night waiting for us to wake up.

If the blinds are shut, she jumps up and tries to pull the cord down that pulls them open.

When we come home, she runs to the door to greet us purring and meowing.

She hugs me. I know you know this. But it still makes me happier than you can know.

She loves people. She doesn't hide when we have guests. Unless we vacuumed before they came over. In that case she is hiding under the bed, mad at us.

She loves to be held. She doesn't fuss to get away

She isn't a grumpy cat. She is always playing and wanting to be held and pet.

She doesn't bite. Unless she playing.

She could enteratin herself for hours with a piece of ripped paper. She loves to play and will go crazy for 10 minutes straight, then pass out on the floor.

She loves to play with hair ties. They are always scattered all over our apartment floor. Every morning I pick them up and put them away in the bathroom drawer where I keep them. But when I come home from work, the drawer is open and they are all over the floor again. She knows how to open the drawer. It's ridiculous.

Going off of that, she is super smart. Similiar to the way she tries to open the blinds, she once watched Nathan unlock the window and pull it open. Now she always gets up and paws at the lock as if she's trying to open it. It's awesome.

She is a snuggly cat. I will admit, sometimes she's overly snuggly. Like when it's 4am and she is nuzzling into my neck or sleeping on my face. I still love her though.

If she gets litter or food on the floor, she tries to sweep it up with her paw.

If she wants you to hold her, she will just follow you around wherever you go.

She could stare out the window for hours. It's like kitty TV.

My mom got her this little tunnel thing. She could lay in it forever. She also loves to hide in it when she's playing with you. Or run in and out of it over and over again.
She knows she is not allowed to sharpen her nails on the couch. So if we are ever in the bedroom and she wants us to come play, she will start sharpening her nails on the couch because she knows we will come out to yell at her. When someone comes out to yell, she runs away and hides under the table. When she's under the table, that means it's play time.

She loves to chase you. If you are ever walking past her when she's hyper, she'll jump out and attack your legs. It's nice though because she doesn't bite or scratch. It's like a polite way of telling you she wants to play with you.

I know I am a crazy cat lady now. But I can't help it. Now that it's summer, I am home with her all day and she is just really awesome. You are welcome to come play with her anytime!
