Can I just say that the last 3 and a half months of my life have been insane?
Don't get me wrong, they've been amazing.
But they've been INSANE!!
Now that moving and holidays and road trips are finally over, I feel like we are at last out of limbo, and settling in as a family of 3.
That seems weird since we've been a family of 3 for almost 4 months. But we've been all over the place.
First, Sadie was born and nothing is settled with a newborn. Our lives were planned around her eating every 2 hours and never wanting to go outside for fear of her getting sick.
Then we had to pack up our tiny apartment, which was so fun to do while recovering from a c-section, and move it into our new apartment that wouldn't be ready for another few weeks. We moved up to Midway, which you guys already know I did not enjoy. It was the worst. I was finally getting the hang of being a mom and she was getting on a normal schedule, and I was stuck up in the butt crack of no where with no car in a giant house that creeped me out. My only company was President Monson's horses. (Seriously, he owned the property next to the house we stayed at. Never saw him though. Just my luck!)
Then we finally moved into our new place but it wasn't ready. We couldn't set stuff up or even unpack all our things and construction workers were coming in every day so Sadie and I were confined to my bedroom.
Then we left for Thanksgiving.
Apartment still wasn't finished when we came home.
Then we were gone for 2 solid weeks.
Apartment was finished when we came home.
One last little road trip to Lovelock this weekend, and now we are back.
Now we are settled.
Sadie is done with her sleep regression, which was a freaking blast, and getting so fun and interactive.
Our home is set up.
We have routine.
My friends aren't horses.
It's kind of the best.
I really love my family of 3.
