The Merkleys: stuff we did in April

This will be a long one guys. This is what happens when I don't blog for a month.

+ I am obsessed with Sadie selfies lately. We did a lot of laying around this month too, so what else is there to do?

+ Not to be outdone by our many selfies, Sadie and Daddy are about the cutest pair in the world.

+ We are loving the warm weather!!! We got our first slurpees of the summer.

+ Sadie still loves Lady. Lady is still pretty patient. I really have never seen someone love something as much as Sadie loves Lady, haha.

Getting into early morning trouble together

+ First week at nursery!! Nathan actually had a harder time leaving her than I did. She was so great. My young women really miss her though.

+ Remember when I made this collage of Sadie and Kevin? And then a friend convinced me to tweet it at some Office cast members. (I have never tweeted before in my life.) And then Angela from The Office LIKED IT! We are basically best friends.

+ One of my very best friends, Bree, came to visit Utah!! It was so great to see her. We miss her out here so much. We got breakfast and hung out for a couple hours. She brought Sadie some awesome mardi gras beads which have quickly become her new favorite toy.

+ We have met Nathan at the park for lunch a few times already and we love it! Sadie especially loves it when she gets a happy meal.

+ Nathan needed to record a song for one of his classes and asked Katie to do vocals for him. He set up a pretty cool studio in Sadie's room, hahaha.

+ Since Sadie's room was occupied by the studio, she slept in our room for the first time since she was 7 months old. Apparently she didn't like it, because she woke up for the day at 5am. It was rough. I took her out to the couch so Nathan could keep sleeping before work and I fell asleep while we cuddled and she watched a movie. I felt like a zombie all day, haha. She fell asleep on my lap 3 hours before nap time that day.

+ We've been out on walks whenever we get the chance! All the rain is making for some pretty rivers for us to walk along.

+ One day Nathan was gone from 8am to 8pm. He had to go straight to his internship after work. I knew it was going to be a long day, haha. That evening I got Sadie and I dinner and we took it to the park. We fed the ducks and played on the playground and had a fun little date. I love that girl so much.

+ We've been to Wheeler Farm a couple times and she loves it so much. The baby animals are out!!! Oh they're so cute. She loved the baby lambs and goats so much. She also really likes chickens and turkeys though. Gross.

+ Nathan took us to breakfast the other morning before our last ultrasound. I love that they both have sleepy eyes, haha.

+ I love Utah in the Spring. And I love the area that we live. This little trails follows the river from Big Cottonwood Canyon as it flows out of the canyon and it's right in our neighborhood. Sadie mostly cared about playing with bugs and throwing rocks.

+ Just Sadie licking the ice cream we bought. She's ice cream obsessed. We decided to make milkshakes one night. She was in heaven.

+ After a day of 2 migraines and a crazy toddler, I made Nathan go get me straws drinks and frozen yogurt. He's a good man.

+ This is what happens when I try to clean. She's so snuggly!

+ McDonald's drive thru selfie. That's how cool we are.

+ My favorite nights are the nights after dinner where we just lay on our couch and play around just the 3 of us. We are all obsessed with each other, haha. I love my little family.

+ More park days. I love when they play soccer together.

+ Poor, poor, sweet Nathan. He's the busiest freaking man in the world. He is going to school full time, work full time, has church callings, and is doing an internship. He is constantly busy and doing something. But he still makes so much time for us!! I really don't know how he does it. I am so proud of him. He deserves every nap ever.

+ We visited temple square during Conference to see all the beautiful blossoms. Seriously though. Spring in Utah, guys!!

+ We take lots of walks around our cute little neighborhood.

+ I wish I had more pictures from this day, but Sadie ran head-first into a marble table and got a giant black eye, so I was a little distracted. But my sweet friend Sam had her bridal shower and it was so fun to get together with friends! (Besides that whole black eye thing). Here is Sadie doing snapchat filters with Cheri, haha.
