Grandma Ffarg

I meant to do this post FOREVER ago, but as you can see, I am a wee bit behind on the blog. But I still want to have a whole post dedicated to my amazing mom and all she did for us when Jack came!

She got here on June 2nd,  and didn't leave until the 30th. She was essentially here the entire month of June. That wasn't the original plan, but she switched things around so that she could stay with us when we needed her.

She helped get me through those horrible last few days before the baby comes. We stayed busy and had fun! I knew Sadie was in great hands at home with my mom when we went to have Jack. I wasn't even worried. Sadie got lots of grandma time, more than we planned, when I spent an evening in the ER, and then Jack spent a week in Primary Children's hospital.

I can't tell you how incredible it was so have my mom there. It was SO hard to leave Sadie so much, but I knew she felt safe with my mom, and it was wonderful not having to find babysitters, or drop Sadie off somewhere she didn't know. My mom took her out and they did fun things every day! Really though, it was great having her there because I needed my mom. You know those times in life when everything sucks and you don't know what to do and you just want your mom? I get them a lot, haha, but this one was BIG, and my mom was there the whole time! She kept things going at home, and offered so much love and support to Nathan and I. I cried a lot that week, and my mom was great at talking me through things. She brought Sadie over to see us and Jack a lot, and she also took turns hanging out at the hospital because I hated leaving Jack alone and she knew that. I could not have survived that week without her!!

We finally got to bring Jack home and I had a happy toddler, a clean house, and an awesome mom. I am so thankful for a mom who loves and takes great care of my babies, and still supports me like she did when I was growing up. Love you mama ffarg!!
