My baby sister gets married in 1 day.

I am so excited for her! It's so crazy because it's not really crazy. It just feels happy and normal!

Tonight is the last sleepover we will ever have.

That may sound strange, but sleepovers are a normal thing for Jessi and I. Ever since I moved out of the house 6 years ago. Whenever I came home, I wouldn't sleep in my bed. I would sleep in hers. Or she would come in my room and sleep on my trundle bed. That's how it's always been. My mom thinks it's weird that there are empty beds in the house and we want to sleep together, but these nights are some of my favorite memories.
If you know me at all, you know Jessica is my best friend in the entire world. You know how close we are and how weird we are and how we can quote any movie or TV show or commercial we have ever seen. I know when she's married we will still be as close. But the chances of us both being at home without our husbands is slim. And it's super weird to have sleepovers when husbands are around (although we have pondered the idea), so tonight we are celebrating out last hurrah!
As much as I miss my husband, I am glad I got this last week alone with my sister. I am so proud of the choices she is making and I love the man she has chosen to spend eternity with. (Thank goodness! Christmas would be super awkward if I didn't). They are a perfect match! Although I gotta say, no one is a better match than the two of us ;)

ReplyDeletei remember when amanda and i would always sleep in the big bed in the toy room together. i miss those days. there is something about a little sister best friend that is so special.
