just him and me pt.5

Just him and me, Temple Square edition!

Okay, I don't really know anyone who thinks Temple Square is ugly. So it's not going to be anything out of the ordinary that we love visiting Temple Square. It's a very special place for us and has been our entire relationship. I lived right next door, at the Plaza hotel, my entire freshman year of college, which also happened to be one of the hardest years of my life. I came here all the time just to cry or to feel the peace. When Nathan and I started dating, we came here almost every Sunday. He lived just a block away for over a year and we came all the time! We came here on several of our anniversaries. We came here one hard night and cried by the reflecting pool as we talked about him leaving on his mission. I would meet him here for lunch. We would have long talks in the "secret place" we found on temple grounds. It was the first temple we went into together and did baptisms. Now as a married couple, we get to go into it together and do endowment sessions. And we still just come here all the time for fun! It's no secret that down town Salt Lake is one of our favorite places in the world, and Temple Square is the heart of it.

We love driving around Salt Lake on summer nights and then ending at the temple. Especially on Sundays. This Sunday the weather was beautiful. It was super cloudy so it wasn't too hot, but the clouds were casting these amazing sun rays. I love Utah in the summer.
